Now that Summer is over (yeah, I know, what Summer – we British do love to moan about the weather) and Autumn is upon us, it’s the ideal time to grab the camera and get out there and capture this amazing time of year.
With the sun lower in the sky and the Autumnal colours starting to emerge, there are no end of photo opportunities. You might want to consider getting up a little earlier than usual to catch the sunrise, or if like me, you could catch the light at the other end of the day at sunset (see our previous post on “The Golden Hour“).
Whilst you’re out and about, look out for places to revisit with your camera (assuming you’ve not got it with you all the time). Make a mental note, or even a physical one, of locations where trees are just starting to change colour and are worth revisiting, perhaps you drive past some fields on your way to work that are misty in the mornings or maybe you’ve noticed the way the low sun is just appearing over a hill or trees – look out for the shot and grab it, Winter is just around the corner.
