It’s been a bit damp of late, but that shouldn’t stop you getting out and taking photos. A dark cloud or two, a drop of rain or three, can all add to the atmosphere of a photo.
Sometimes catching the light just right can produce dramatic results – it’s all about timing and patience.
If you are venturing out, a few handy items to take with – pop a black bag/bin liner into your camera bag – if you need to kneel or even lie down, out comes the bag giving you a nice dry base. A clear bag with a hole cut in the bottom, plus an elastic band, make a great waterproof camera cover – use the elastic band to secure the bag around the end of your lens and the other end gives you enough space to use the camera controls. Or you could buy something a little less Heath Robinson of course.
